What does peace have to do with work

Whether you are a person who works to live or lives to work, getting the right stuff done, is a big contributor to how you feel at the end of the day.

At the end of the workday, I want to feel peace. Feeling peace and satisfaction at the end of the day serves your health and how you show up with your family and friends.  It is not just a ‘nice’ thing, it is critical to your wellbeing and ability to go back out there and it do it again.

Is it possible for you?   
1. Prioritize with Purpose:  At the day’s start, I pinpoint my non-negotiable priority amidst my tasks and interactions. As a leader, clarity in priorities helps me navigate distractions and focus on what truly matters. Peace comes when I fulfill my top priority.

2. Protect Focus Time: My strategic tasks, which only I can do, require full focus early in the day. I shield this time from interruptions, both external and internal. By concentrating on one complex task at a time, I achieve peace through right timing.

3. Engage Deeply with Others: Throughout the day, I immerse myself fully in conversations. Paying undivided attention to the person speaking enhances our connection and prevents the unease that comes from fragmented interactions. Peace emerges from sincere engagement.

4. Optimize Mental Performance: Understanding and caring for my brain maximizes its potential. I incorporate short breaks to calm my thoughts, allowing better control over my focus and mindset. Multiple breaks a day foster peace within my mental processes.

5. Reflect and Appreciate: I end the day by acknowledging my achievements, savoring the satisfaction of a well-spent effort. Recognizing your efforts before moving to the next task solidifies the day’s fulfillment. Peace arises from valuing accomplishments.

When I do these things…it is a good day!
